Partnership Information
AimsThe objects of the partnership are to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community in and around the Royston and Carlton areas of Barnsley and in particular, the advancement of education and the provision of facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the condition of life for the inhabitants of the said communities.

- Develop and manage projects which further the aims and vision of the partnership and its community.
- To ensure the sustainability of the communities of Royston and Carlton socially and economically so that their citizens can enjoy a quality of life which fulfils their needs and aspirations into the future.
Clubs / Activities for Older People in Royston
The Munch Bunch - Lunch Club, Wednesdays 12.00 to 1.45pm ...only £4 each, At Royston Meadow Crescent Community Centre. Come and join us for delicious hot cookedlunch and desserts. With juices, tea and coffee followed by Bingo and a free raffle. In safe and comfortable surroundings. We are a very sociable bunch and love to see new members, but bookings are essential.

Aerobics - Feed Good Sessions, Wednesdays from 10am to 11am at The Lifelong Learning Centre (Library) on Station Road. For Aerobics exercises with a small friendly group. If you want to tone up and boost your fitness levels, Jill our friendly Tutor will tailor your exercises for you. All equipment is provided. £3 per session. Come along for a trial.
Carlton Gardening Club, Monthly at Carlton Park Pavilion 7.30pm - 9pm. Lots of interesting things to see and do. Ring Charlie for details on 726367.
Greenfingers Gardening Group, Wednesday every fortnight 2pm - 4pm. The group enjoy outings & guest speakers. Please ring Mr M Macey on 701502 for further details.
Craft Groups. There is a card making session at The Bethel Church, Station Road, Royston, 2pm until 3.30pm. Call Mrsh Morgan on 722637 for information.

Manor Court Community Centre
This is a small Community Centre which is now run and funded by the community.
Bingo - Monday & Wednesday 10am to 12 noon, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday evenings 7pm to 9pm.
Whist Drive Wednesday - Small fees are charged for all of the above for refreshments etc. The Community Hall can be hired for meetings, functions or activities, there is a small kitchen suitable for own catering.
Costs are from £5 ph for local groups. Ring Dorothy on 723811 for more information on all the Manor Court Sessions.
Ladies Breakfast Club - Ladies come along for breakfast that you don't have to make yourself and be pampered, 26th June at 9.30am, Royston Methodist Church. Enjoy a laugh, meet new friends. FREE of CHARGE. Call Anne for details on 078 5555 1626 or 01226 700005
